This policy explains what the Hodi app for Meta Quest and this website collect, why, who processes it, how long it is kept and how to delete it. Hodi is published by WeiCity Labs LLC (“we”). Hodi is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

This website

This website has no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts, and we collect no personal information from visitors. Our static hosting provider processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) only to deliver pages and protect against abuse. [Pending confirmation: hosting provider and its log retention.]

What the app collects

• Meta account identifier: the user ID that Meta issues for our apps, verified by our server. We never receive your Meta password.
• Device and integrity data: a hashed device identifier and Meta's app integrity (attestation) result, used to apply the free allowance and prevent abuse.
• Your voice while you speak in a scene, only after you agree on the consent screen (see “Voice and transcripts”).
• Transcripts of the conversation, with personal details removed before storage, plus your scores, pronunciation feedback and progress.
• Subscription status as reported by Meta. Payments are handled by Meta; we never receive your card details.
• App usage events (for example: session started, microphone allowed, scene completed, trial started) used for product statistics.
• We do not ask for your real name, identity document numbers, immigration case details or health records. Each scene gives you a fictional character to play.

How we use it

• To run the conversations, score your speech and give feedback.
• To apply the free allowance and your subscription, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
• To produce aggregated statistics that help us improve the scenes.
• We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Voice and transcripts

• On first launch a consent screen explains the service providers, purposes, retention and deletion. The microphone turns on only after you agree.
• Your audio is used only to transcribe and score the current turn, and is deleted as soon as scoring finishes. We do not store recordings of your voice.
• The characters' voices are synthesized as you play; that audio is never saved to disk or put in public storage.
• Transcripts have personal details removed before they are stored. Our logs never contain full transcripts.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers below, only to run Hodi. Each works under a written agreement and provides services only for this app, as Meta's Data Use Policy requires for service providers.

• Microsoft Azure AI Speech: speech recognition and pronunciation assessment for the current turn, and the characters' synthesized voices. We configure Azure to turn off audio and transcription logging.
• Anthropic (Claude): generates the characters' replies from the text of the conversation. Anthropic's retention period and zero-data-retention option: [pending confirmation under our contract].
• Meta: account identity, app integrity checks, purchases and subscriptions. Meta's own privacy policy applies to what Meta processes.
• Hosting: our server runs on a dedicated virtual machine, and this website on a static hosting service. [Pending confirmation: provider names and data locations.]

How long we keep data

• Audio: not kept; deleted right after scoring.
• Transcripts (personal details removed): 90 days, then deleted.
• Inactive accounts: all data is deleted automatically after 12 months without use, because we are not notified when you uninstall Hodi or delete your Meta account.
• Backups: expire on the same schedule. If we ever restore a backup, we re-apply all deletions before using it.

Deleting your data

You can delete your data in the app (“Delete my data”, available when Hodi launches) or by emailing us. When you do, we:

• end your active sessions and cancel any processing in progress;
• revoke your sign-in tokens and disconnect the app;
• block late writes from requests already in flight;
• delete the data linked to your account.

These exceptions apply, and none of them can be linked back to you:

• Device record: a hashed device identifier, the amount of free allowance used and the last reset date, so that deleting data cannot be used to reset the free allowance.
• Financial records: de-identified sales and refund records, kept as tax and accounting law requires.
• Backups: expire on the normal schedule; if a backup is ever restored, deletions are re-applied before it is used.

Deleting your data does not cancel your Meta subscription. To stop being charged, cancel the subscription in your Meta account.

Delete your data

Adults only

Hodi is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not market it to minors. Because the Meta Horizon Store age groups start at 13+, younger people may still find the app: we handle everyone's data to the same minimal adult standard, and if a parent or guardian asks us to delete a minor's data we follow the deletion process above. AI-generated conversations

Conversations with characters in Hodi are generated by AI in real time. The characters are fictional. Please do not share real personal details such as identity numbers, addresses or health information; play the fictional character card instead.

Items pending confirmation

• Contact address and publisher name (shown as placeholders until confirmed).
• Anthropic retention period and zero-data-retention option under our contract.
• International data transfers: where our servers and providers process data, and the safeguards used.
• Country-specific rules for minors (for example, EU member states and South Korea).
• Whether data may be transferred to an affiliated company in a corporate reorganization.
• Hosting providers and their log retention.
• Effective date: this policy is a draft and not yet in effect.
